FAQs

  • Once you are all set up, you have to follow these three easy steps:

1: Insert the growing trays you have ordered from us

2: After a few days, when the app tells you to do so, remove the plastic film on top of each tray (the seed have germinated)

3: After a few weeks, when the app tells you to do so, harvest! And enjoy.

  • Per day, GrowOff uses:

    • 9 liters of water: The same amount as a 45 second shower.

    • 9,7 kWh: about two loads of tumble dryer.

To grow 300 crops in one month (although that will vary depending on which crops and how long they take before you harvest them), GrowOff also uses:

    • 30g of seeds: that would fill a teaspoon

    • 9kg of cocos fibre: about four pillows if you’d want to sleep on it?

    • zero pesticides!

  • Our selected shipping company will deliver your GrowOff SIF. You will have to connect it to the mains water and electricity supply. Depending on your location, the data connection works through WiFi or 4G. That’s pretty much it!

  • With GrowOff, you will grow crops that use 95% less water than plants grown with traditional agriculture techniques. You will also reduce your Co2 footprint by limiting transport; the growing trays are much smaller and lighter to ship than living plants. And because GrowOff is energy efficient, you will save between 39% and 67% Co2 compared to a high-tech greenhouse.
